Abuelo XII Two Oaks 70cl 40%Vol

Ron Abuelo XII Two Oaks, is a sublime 12 year old rum with a double barrel aging. After the rum has been matured for many years in specially selected ex-Bourbon barrels, it is then finished on extra charred, virgin American oak.

In the first barrel, the rum takes on its mouth-filling, rich flavor and texture. The special thing about the second barrel is that it was first toasted for 60 minutes at 180 ºC to open the wood structure. It was then fired at 220 ºC, creating a 7 to 8 mm thick porous carbon layer. From this ‘Two Oaks’ derives its softness, mild smoky flavor and finesse.

This rum matured to perfection, extra soft with a rich mouth-filling complexity and light smoke in the long pleasant finish, can be enjoyed neat, from a tulip or wine glass.
