Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum Smoky Formula Limited Edition 70cl 40%Vol
The pineapple skins are manually peeled and then infused into Plantation 3 Stars White Rum, which is then distilled in a traditional copper Pot Still. In turn, the effective fruit of the pineapple is infused into Plantation Original Dark Rum. The whole of both is then combined to obtain the tropical Pineapple Rum!
For this Limited edition, however, the normal Pineapple rum underwent an extra maturation in a Blackpitts casks from Teeling, so in a heavily peated casks. This additional aging gives the rum a very special and smoky character.
Your nose will notice notes of tropical fruit including pineapple and citrus zest, a hint of cloves and a hint of dry peat. Your palate will be treated to flavors of ripe banana, pineapple, a balanced spiciness and of course the smoky character.

Blending : Pineapple rinds are infused in Plantation 3 Stars rum, then further distilled in Ferrand Copper Pot Stills. Meanwhile, the fruit is infused in Plantation Original Dark rum. Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum is the fruit of the labor of a third collaboration between Alexandre Gabriel and David Wondrich. Alexandre and David first worked together to create Ferrand Cognac 1840 Original Formula, which was introduced at Tales of the Cocktail in 2011 and went on to be awarded the Best New Product at the Cocktail Spirit Awards of 2012. The second collaboration resulted in the Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao, launched in 2012 which was elected Spirit of the Year at the Berlin Bar Show in 2012.
