The Duchess Jamaica Great House Distillery 2007 13 years Cask N°18 70cl 66,1%Vol
The name of the distillery was not allowed on the label, but connoisseurs know enough. The Great House is the 1779-built warehouse of this Trelawny-based distillery. The rum was pot still distilled in 2007. It is a High Ester Rum, the typical Jamaican style that is achieved through extremely long fermentation times. The rum matured for thirteen years on ex bourbon barrel. This is the sister cask for the earlier bottled cask 6. Hence this quick successor. It comes from barrel #18 and has a cask strength of 66.1%. In terms of character, the rum is almost identical to its predecessor.
