Molasses Rum made by the Worthy Park distillery. This rums has been tropically aged for 4 years in ex Bourbon Barrels followed by a 2 years finish in the French Provence in French oak barrels that contained sweet VDN Rasteau wines before.
The first aging is tropical: hot, humid, without large temperature variations.
The second aging is Mediterranean: very hot summers (even more than in the Caribbean) and dry, cold winters.
Thermal amplitudes are important. This aging accelerates the maturation of rums as much as tropical, with an often higher angels-share.

TASTING NOTES:
Color: Dark amber with pink reflections.
Nose: A very fruity nose (red fruits, quince paste).
Mouth: Attack of a large aromatic amplitude. Very fruity rum (exotic fruits, red fruits), perfectly balanced by a well-present alcohol. A persistent vinic finish and on the grenache grape highlighted by a touch of bitterness.
