More than a RUM, an Episode …
Let’s go back in time a few years to start again at the end of 2017. In this month of November, Léopold, patriarch of the Reimonenq family, made a visit to his grandchildren in Metropolitan France. During his stay he was the victim of a medical accident. He was hospitalized for four months. During these weeks of suffering and uncertainty, far from the family distillery he decided to strengthen the team with a young recruit. This was a Marine, Production Engineer, who he has met a few months earlier. 
During the 2018 harvest, The young Engineer experimented with a new strain of yeast on a few fermentation tanks. Together with Christiane, wife of Mr. Reimonenq, who supervises the manufacturing for half a century, and Jean, distiller for 36 years, they created this fantastic new yeast. The yeast is a delicate stage in the production of a quality rum. Youth and experience worked together in a fantastic experiment and gave birth to a new taste.

PHOENIX: BIRTH OF AROMAS: A great flavor rum, born from great teamwork.

This rum called “Phoenix”, allegory of Longevity, Renaissance and Nobility, perfectly embodies the development of quality rums from the Reimonenq distillery.
Maturing untill 2020, it also symbolizes the return of Mr. Reimonenq to the distillery, as well as the inner fire of the family and the great teamwork.
