TASTING NOTES:
Initial Impressions: Bright, layered and complex with significant nutty notes – indicative of long aging.
Aroma: Caramelized Orange Peel, Apricot and Brown Sugar – evoking notes of milk chocolate covered strawberry, star anise, cardamom and a toasted hazelnuts. alate: Opens again with caramelized citrus notes evolving into dark chocolate, fig and cocoa butter – there is a savory complexity, subtle earthiness with hints of oxidated wine – like a rich vintage port.
Overall this is a lengthy yet very soft rum; especially for the proof – with elegant complexity.
