Description
The Long Pond VRW 2003 18 years single cask rum is a limited edition from only 320 bottles worldwide. The distillation took place in 2003 in a John Dore Double Retort Pot Still from the molasses of the native Jamaican sugar cane. This rum has an ester content of 150 to 250 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol, which corresponds to the Mark VRW of the former Vale Royal Distillery. VRW stands for Vale Royal Wedderburn. The term “Wedderburn” is one of 4 Jamaican ester brands. The aging took place over 18 years in an oak barrel in a tropical climate. A total of 320 bottles could be filled.
