This 2020 vintage has been bottled cask strength and is limited to 1250 copies. It is unique by the 4 years aging in wood from the Chambord forest in France.
The aging was done in Bielle’s “Chai Paradis”. It is an exceptional marriage between the wood and the rum. It is also the first ever rum to be aged in Chambord wood.
The Chambord forest has a rich and ancient history, closely linked to that of the Chambord Castle. It was established in the 16th century by Francis I, King of France, with the aim of providing timber for the construction of the castle as well as for royal hunting. Today, the Chambord forest is protected as a nature reserve and is part of the Chambord national domain. It is managed sustainably to preserve its unique ecosystem and exceptional biodiversity.

Distillerie Bielle was founded at the end of the 19th century. It produces one of the best Agricole rums in the world. Distillerie Bielle is located in Grand-Bourg on the island of Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe.
Marie Galante, the island of 100 mills, has always been the island of the cane. The Bielle Distillery continues an old tradition of making farm rum with pure cane juice.
