Sampan Cellar Series Cognac Cask 70cl 45,1%Vol

The Sampan Cellar Series 2019 old rum is the second opus of the aged profiles of Sampan rums from the Distillerie d’Indochina. Made from pure endemic Vietnamese cane juice, it then aged in ex-cognac barrels in the coastal cellars, influenced by the sea spray from the distillery for 36 months. In Vietnam, the angel share is 10% per year on average.
This phenomenon combined with a slight reduction gives rise to a rum with a strength of 45.1° and a pretty copper color. The exuberant nose reveals notes of vanilla and citrus. On the palate, a few iodized notes recall the proximity of the sea. The pastry aromas evolve into spices for a long finish of citrus fruits.
